That's all I wanted to say
(Damn ts fandom is dead 💔)
The Chibi-Robo! Wiki has been on Fandom since it's creation. The wiki has passed from admin to admin over the years, and it now resides with me. In my experience with Fandom I first enjoyed it's easy-to-edit formatting. In the past, I have been asked if I would consider forking the wiki off of Fandom, and for a while I didn't see a need to, but now I do. I have grown frustrated with Fandom's anti-user experience, bloating each page with ads and making mobile browsing a nightmare, not to mention my personal issues with the company. If I fork the Chibi-Robo! Wiki off of Fandom and on to it's own hosting site, it would be ad-free, more professional in appearance, and I would have more control over how to run things. This would be a big move, and according to Fandom's Forking Policy, I would be required to relinquish my Admin role on the Fandom wiki and make a clean break. It would be a fight for the new Wiki to overtake Fandom's established SEO as well, but it could be done. It could be a new beginning for the Chibi-Robo! Wiki and Chibi-Robo! community.
So I pose this question to the Chibi-Robo! community: Do you think the Chibi-Robo! Wiki would benefit from forking off from Fandom and being hosted on it's own site? Please discuss below as to why or why not.
Update 06/23/24
The Chibi-Robo! Wiki has forked off of Fandom and will no longer be updated by the current admins. The Chibi-Robo! Wiki has moved to www.Chibi-Robo.Wiki. If you are a Fandom editor, you are able to very easily migrate your account over to our new site while keeping your edit history and contributions. Just follow the instructions found at https://chibi-robo.wiki/wiki/Special:MigrateUserAccount
We know that moving wikis is never easy, and especially off of Fandom with its SEO domination. That is why we ask you to share news of our move with any Chibi-Robo! fans you know, and encourage them to use www.Chibi-Robo.Wiki instead of the Fandom site. Remember the hyphen!
Spread the happiness!
